ASCAL participated at the ASIIN Global Conference 2022 organized by ASIIN, with the theme "Reinventing Higher Education Quality Assurance for our time – no stone left unturned". The meeting took place in Malta, on October 18 and 19, 2022, where representatives of the national and international higher education community, representatives of international quality assurance agencies, representatives of the international business world, and employers' associations participated.

At the center of the discussions was dealing with international challenges such as the pandemic, the Ukraine-Russia war, population growth, the energy crisis, etc. During the conference, it was discussed how these conditions affect the quality of education and what policies world organizations or agencies are following to optimize the quality or to take advantage of these opportunities.
