Elvin Gjevori holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations from Dublin City University in Ireland. He received his Master of Arts degree (with distinction) from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary in International Relations and European Studies and his Bachelor of Arts degree (summa cum laude) in Political Science from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan, USA.
PhD Gjevori’s academic research has focused on Albania’s institutional consolidation and regional policy after the fall of communism. In that regard, PhD Gjevori has published numerous articles in reputable academic outlets, on Albania’s regional policy, international peacekeeping contributions and its post-communist military and security reform. In addition, he has authored a book, published by Palgrave Macmillan, titled Democratisation and Institutional Reform in Albania investigating judicial and military reform in Albania from 1992 to 2009.
Previously (2017-2019) PhD Gjevori served as the Director for Research and Director of the Center for Scientific Research and Methodology at the European University of Tirana. In addition, he was a Swedish Institute Postdoctoral researcher and adjunct lecturer of international relations (2015-2016) at Malmo University in Sweden.
