The Accreditation Board is supported by a Technical Secretariat, which is made up of ASCAL officers assigned to this position by the agency director. The Secretariat assists the Chairman of the BA and its members on the agendas and during the progress of meetings. The mission and duties of the technical secretariat are set out in the ASCAL's internal regulation and the AB regulation.
