ASCAL participated in the kick-off meeting of the APEL-WB project – “Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning Capacity-Building in the Western Balkans”, held at LOGOS University College in Tirana.
This project, funded by the European Union, aims to build capacities for the recognition and accreditation of non-formal learning and prior experiential learning in the Western Balkan region, including Albania, Kosovo, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. The project brings the experience of countries such as Greece, Estonia, and Iceland in accrediting non-formal learning.
ASCAL’s participation in this project marks an important step towards developing a fairer and more accessible system for recognizing non-formal learning experiences as part of the quality assurance process.
ASCAL’s contribution is essential in defining the standards, guidelines, and practices that will enable the integration of APEL into higher education in Albania and the region.
