Director of the Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education (ASCAL) Ms. Xhiliola Bixheku and the Head of Statistics and Analysis Department Ms. Ersi Dako, participated in the General Assembly of European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), which took place on October 27-28, in Stockholm, Sweden.

During the Assembly:

• The President of ENQA Mr. Douglas Blackstock officially handed over to the Director of ASCAL the certificate on the renewed “affiliate” status, for the period June 2022 to June 2027;
• Discussions and session plenaries took place related to challenges and opportunities of harmonising quality assurance approaches in different regions of the world, future perspectives on the ESG, linkage between quality assurance and recognition, quality assurance of e-learning, role of quality assurance agencies in supporting academic integrity, etc.;
• The General Assembly of ENQA re-elected the President of ENQA, Mr. Douglas Blackstock, Vice Presidents and Members of the Board.
