On 22.11.2018, at the Tirana International Hotel, the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ASCAL) held a Workshop on: “Quality Standards for First Cycle, Second Cycle and Professional Programs in Higher Education: Reflecting on the Quality Assessment Process ”, with representatives of public and non-public Higher Education Institutions.

Highlights of this meeting were related to: New quality standards for the first cycle, second cycle studies and professional higher education programs, which entered into force in September 2018; Eventual changes and reflection of new standards in the methodology and process of evaluating the quality of these programs; Other procedural or documentation issues related to the reflection of new standards in the process of self-assessment, external evaluation and decision-making in the context of program monitoring and accreditation.
