Quality Code
The Higher Education Quality Code is the primary document governing all quality assurance processes and procedures in higher education institutions (HEIs). It defines the national quality standards that higher education institutions are required to implement.
The Quality Code was drafted by a working group established by order of the Minister of Education and Sports.
The Quality Code, approved by Council of Ministers Decision No. 824, dated 24 December 2021 (Point 3 repeals Council of Ministers Decision No. 531, dated 11 September 2018), is a compilation of national quality assurance standards for professional study programmes, first-cycle “Bachelor” programmes, second-cycle study programmes, third-cycle “Executive Master” programmes, and third-cycle “Long-Term Specialization” programmes. ASCAL and higher education institutions (HEIs) rely on the Quality Code in conducting external evaluation processes.
